Press Pass 2003 Jersey Edition Football to include Two Game-Used
Jersey Cards per Hobby Box
April 1, 2003 Charlotte, N.C. - Press Pass 2003
Jersey Edition Football, in it's sophomore year, returns with
an extensive line-up of game-used jersey cards that offers collectors
an opportunity to obtain rare collegiate game-used jersey cards
from the most talented 2003 rookies. This year's draft is focused
around the two top quarterbacks, USC's Carson Palmer and Marshall's
Byron Leftwich. Either of these talented players could be the
overall top choice in the draft, and Press Pass is the exclusive
place to find their collegiate game-used jersey cards.
There are four levels of jersey cards featured in Press Pass 2003
Jersey Edition Football. In addition to Leftwich and Palmer, collectors
will find jersey cards of over a dozen additional 2003 rookie
prospects. For many of the players it will likely be the only
collegiate game-used jersey cards that will ever be produced.
There is one game-used jersey card in every hobby box (1:28 packs).
There are also Autographed Jersey Cards, (#'d to 25), along with
rare hobby only Jersey Patch Cards(#'d to 10) and Jersey Number
Cards(#'d to 25), which feature a game-used swatch taken from
a uniform patch or uniform name, respectively. As a new twist
for 2003, Press Pass has added special hobby-only "buyback"
rookie jersey cards that can be found one in every box. Consequently,
each Hobby box will contain two game-used jersey cards. These
"buyback" game-used jersey cards feature rookie stars
from past Press Pass releases.
"We are excited to offer such an expansive lineup of rare
college game-used jersey cards and top prospect autographs,"
said Tom Farrell, director of marketing for Press Pass, a division
of Racing Champions (NASDAQ: RACN). "Press Pass offers what
may be the only college game-used jersey cards ever produced of
many of these rookie prospects. Compared to the vast number of
pro jersey cards that will inevitably follow, these cards are
destined to become some of the rarest game-used jersey cards ever
produced of this rookie class."
Releasing on May 6th, Press Pass 2003 Jersey Edition Football
features a 45-card base set printed on premium 24 point stock,
seven levels of insert cards, redemption cards for autographed
footballs from top QBs Carson Palmer, Byron Leftwich, and Dave
Ragone, as well as three levels of autograph cards (1:4 hobby,
1:56 retail).
